Residential Warranty Services and Inspector Services Group Welcome InterNACHI’s Former General Counsel, Mark Cohen, to Their Legal Team

Residential Warranty Services, Inc., and RWS Inspector Services Group, LLC, are delighted to announce they have hired InterNACHI’s long-time General Counsel Mark Cohen, to serve as Special Counsel.

Mr. Cohen served as InterNACHI’s General Counsel from its founding in 2004 to 2018. He is one of the most knowledgeable home inspection lawyers in North America.

As Special Counsel, Mr. Cohen will be an important part of the organizations’ litigation team, advise on transactional matters, draft legal opinions, write informative articles for users, offer valuable training, and be available to assist users.

Mr. Cohen earned a B.A. in Economics at Whitman College. He earned his law degree at the University of Colorado. He later earned a Master’s in Law (LL.M.) at the University of Arkansas, where he also taught advanced legal writing as a faculty member.

Mr. Cohen’s prior legal career includes service as an Air Force JAG, Special Assistant U.S. Attorney, prosecutor, and Municipal Judge for the City of Boulder.

With more than one hundred jury trials to his credit, Mr. Cohen is an experienced litigator and trial lawyer, but he is also an accomplished writer. He wrote six articles in the American Jurisprudence Proof of Facts series, including one on piercing the corporate veil. Harvard Professor Steven Pinker praised his paper on contract drafting as “simply brilliant.”
