Disappointing Conference Schedule

I toured 45 cities with Nick, and in the middle of nowhere we could draw 40 inspectors. It was promoted well, had the WOW factor... I don't get the point of this one. It's what, 90 days from show time? Show us the WOW!

I know Nick wants to step aside and let Chris handle the organization, but he can't. No one can fill Nick's shoes. Chris is smart, but undoubtedly the wrong guy for the job. We'll see if that changes, but between a string of incredibly uninformed decisions and now a lackluster effort for the first InterNACHI show in many, many years...I'm unimpressed. I want this to turn around- I'm a vendor there. For years I've been promoting the show, and COA gave me templates for invitations, a stage to speak from and promote my time there, and this time nothing. I've heard the same from many of the other vendors.

I just read the schedule for this years Las Vegas conference. I don't understand the scheduling as the whole thing looks really weak. I hope that there are some changes and additions to create a real reason for me to travel across the country for this conference. As it is now I don't see a real reason to go.

Nick has stated he's an "investor" in the conference...let's bring it, Nick. It's great for the industry to have a real gathering of inspectors with powerful content. As it stands, it looks like the two biggest conventions this year will be:

ASHI Inspection World
PowerUser Conference

Unless that is Nick steps up, and brings the heat. That means bringing me to the table. I don't mean to be so egotistical about it, but it's true. Add Dominic to the mix, we can deliver a full day of killer content and promote it to our combined 8000+ (maybe 10,000+) clients.

Come on guys, I want this thing to be successful. Anyone who wants to invite Nick here, go for it. He's got full access.

I totally understand it...Jaime and Nick tried to squeeze Nathan and be ballers. They tried to just "Buy" stuff up to throw some muscle around. All they threw around was a turd that is now on their hands. All they have to eat now is a turd sandwich. It was a BS move and it has now backfired.

The Nachi message board even has Nick pretty much saying it will suck!

Sure Vegas is great, but its not about the cost to me, its about the money I miss MAKING while I am there. My time is much more valuable than a pool inspection course I can find online and Vegas in not that impressive to me.

Do as you wish, but this conference is going to SUCK BIG TIME, is my guess. I want new avenues and ideas on to make money and to make my company better. I want brain storming, meeting people who are business focused and have great ideas. I don't need to meet people who have no idea what a TPR valve is...what do I get out of that?

I don't understand Nick's strategy here. He's a strategic guy, and Jamie has always benefitted from that. I hope the conference is awesome, but we're officially past the point that it's even possible to get certification courses through licensing requirements for CE's, so that benefit is gone.

What do you mean, why did Nick do it? Jaime said to, what else do you need to know?

I was just booked for four hours, and my understanding is that Dominic and Dan will be doing presentations as well.

Indeed great news! I get the best technical ed in-state (thanks, Brian Murphy.) I go for biz growth and to spend $ on supplier prod and svcs.
