First time using ETR lab so I did not have pre-paid mailers yet. I usually use a lab in Salt Lake City but thought I'd try this one. They were less expensive, greater testing detail and quicker turn around time. I only contacted them the day before shipping. They pulled it off with out a hitch. I sent 3 samples FedEx over night on cold packs. It was about $50.

I did purchase a dozen kits with mailers for future use. For basic water testing I am charging $195 that covers FHA requirements (Bankers still asking for this service) Comprehensive testing I plan on charging $245 and it includes Radon!

Client had their lab results in about 28 hours from sample collection!

I was under the impression we tested water/well water, allergen, lead in water, asbestos, and Chinese drywall?

I'm going to try not to get too technical here, ( that is what I have the lab for) but I have a question regarding the water quality panel for FHA/VA water quality testing.

Has anyone heard of a "Wells Fargo Overlay" in addition to the standard FHA/VA water quality test panel? I was told by the loan officer that the Wells Fargo underwriting now requires Nitrite in addition to the standard Bacteria/Nitrate/Lead analysis.

Anyone....Anyone...Bueller?

Considering samples must be checked with a certain time frame, I don't see how mailing off water samples is a good idea. Local water testing, in my opinion is best.

We offer well water tests. We suggest it to every buyer that has well water. We don't have a ton, but we do service a more rural area, so there is definitely a need in our area. Our local health department does the testing for us. We make sure that clients know that while city water is monitored, privately owned water sources are not and it is a good idea to have it checked at least every two years, if not once a year.
