I'll have cut out a piece of cardboard for the bottom of the bags so they will sit on a surface with the product in them.

$100 to $150 per bag?

Did you accidentally add an extra 0?

The bags and glasses are not that expensive. I plan on putting a nice bottle of wine $40-50, and all the other stuff makes it a $100-150 item. These are only going to go to top performing agents that do not already use us. The top 1%ers to use a bad label in a good way! The trick is finding them at an open house and not getting there and its someone else from their office.

The plan is a little different than other open house marketing. The plan is to introduce ourselves, leave the agent with the bag, and make a quick escape and follow up with the agent later on in the week. We don't want to bother them in any way and we don't want to shove our product at them. They know who we are, we just need to make sure they start using us and can put a face on the company.

Thoughts?

$50 is a very expensive bottle of wine.

How about trying Send Out Cards?

That is pricey! But if it's worth it I guess it's worth it.

I hosted an open house last Sat/Sunday, I would have welcomed any Inspector coming by.
Being on both sides of the fence, I see it as a good one on one opportunity for either.

Open house marketing has worked well for us. You can meet your captive audience give them a few goodies and head to the next one. We use Redfin for finding times and the locations so you can plan your day.

We do that too but you have to realize these top agents are marked by people everyday that want their business or sell them something. We can send whatever we want and it is going in the trash. Most of these agents don't care about who their clients use as long as the s&@* doesn't fall back on them. They are willing to make changes in whom they recommend they just need to weed out the inspection firms that are in their clients best interest as well as their own. By dropping this off and not making a hard sell, you get your foot in the door.

Standing out to these agents is always a work in progress.

Violence against agents is at 0% in the history of the world when a home inspector was present. Market that.

Here, I'll be the first:

If any agent in the Indy area is going to a showing or open house and is uncomfortable for any reason, call my office (whether you're a client or not) and let us know. We'll do a random "stop by" with one of our warranty reps to drop off brochures.

I know this is an old post, but THIS -- right here would really get you guys noticed by agents! We're always trying to figure out ways to keep us safe, especially with all that's been in the news! I recently saw a home inspector post on a FB group that they advertise they will "drop by" showings, accompany Realtors to showings, or even call and say they're "on their way" if we feel uneasy about meeting someone. All for free! It's genius! I know most of you guys aren't busy all day long, every minute of the day, just doing inspections! So why not fill some of the in-between time doing good AND marketing yourself in a BIG way to agents!

I know Brian Hannigan of send out cards pretty well. We have been in a local networking group for about a year and I like the simplicity of following up with clients and or agents after the transaction. It's less about client/agent acquisition and more about nurturing relationships, keeping you top of mind. That said, I really wish ISN would be able to integrate with Send Out Cards so it could be a more systematized and automated marketing effort. I know Brian has had conversations with Dan at ISN about it but might be worth more discussion for those of you at PUC. My guess is that because there is a MLM sales component to Send Out Cards, it's too complicated and a cost benefit analysis proves it nonviable for ISN integration. I just get excited about pulling more services into ISN because the more we can leverage their platform and plug in other parts of our business to it, the more profitable we'll all be. "And that's a good thing!" as Martha Stewart often proclaims.
