One of the few. I really can't think of another good reason to protect your own ass at the expense of a client.

I would say it's another option to ask the buyer to request an extension to the inspection period. The buyer is still in a better place getting their inspection that includes all the protections they may need.

Exactly, great point @mlmarlow -- We have a handful of these agents in our area, ones that choose us on their own properties and recommend highly for friends/family, as well as referring regularly to their buyers. I agree completely that is one of the best indicators of genuine trust in the quality and impartiality of our inspections.
