I recently took and passed my test for doing radon testing here in Ohio. I will be beginning to evaluate the options for renting vs buying monitors. My issue is the time involved in record keeping and documentation. Radalink I understand will take care of the quality control, calibration, misc. Saving me from those tasks is worth quite to me. I was thinking that Radalink was 169/mo

No matter what units you use you will need to have them calibrated. You will get a certificate of calibration with every unit every year.

It's not much work at all

With Radalink it is automatic. Try them out Jim, the risk is minimal. If you don't like it in a couple months return them!

I just received a new (to me) Aircat Radon Monitor delivered FedEx from Radalink because the Aircat Monitor I have been using will need to be calibrated in December. I didn't have to do a thing, Radalink just sent me a different monitor to swap out so I have zero downtime. Gotta love it!

I have had sellers who actually did this! I didn't know until it was all over and done, but I was not happy. I tell them how would you feel if the seller of your house did that???

I agree with most everyone else. Being as he called and was honest, I would have a hard time charging for a retest. Possibly let the machine run longer instead of making an extra trip as some mentioned.

In a situation like this we would probably try to send the inspector that was closest to the property. That way we don't necessarily need to charge but also aren't out to much for a longer trip.
