How do you handle having an item on a report that you need to do research on but the client needs the report? Anyone have any verbage for this? Once you confirm the information you were looking for, do you amend and resend the report? Or an email with the item number and your findings? I know protocol will change with the magnitude of the item and the concern with it.

Why not just post here in the "Instant Help" forum? I can't think of many things you couldn't get enough information about to make a good note on.

I 99% of the time send my reports the next day, for that reason. It gives me time to look up info/verify specs before sending report

There is nothing wrong with having to research an item or three and there is no need to hold up report delivery unless the items affect several systems.

The only problem with a follow up e-mail addressing the outstanding issue(s) is where do you save the sent email and the Read Receipts emails showing they got them?

Maybe there is an ISN feature for this so you can permanently document the follow up?

Perhaps Dan Huber is the best person to address this from here...
