Anyone else checked into the HomeHub Zone software? Early adopters get it free for life and they do appliance Recalls for free. I have done a little research, not sure if I like the software. I just thought it was interesting they offer free Recalls on appliances.

Thoughts?

They don't offer recall reporting. We still have the only service that does..this is just another worthless link to the CPSC database. That being said, if they offer something so deceptive we won't integrate with them and candidly they'll never gain enough traction at this point in the market to be able to support it.

I'd call this one early as a future member of the "dead inspection software society".

I don't get why these companies can't do basic market research before they get slaughtered. 30,000 inspectors, half a dozen successful inspection software companies that own the space, and every portal of entry (training, etc.) is covered with free offers. If HIP, 3D, Horizon, Homegauge, etc. falter, then the market may open up. Until then this is a trail of tears I would never invest in.

If you are starting out and don't use HG or HIP you are already behind.

I think they have three owners and three users. They all gave positive testimonials.

Being in this industry for 18 years Home Hub Zone, has the kindest, people that you'd ever want to do business with. The response time to any questions or concerns is the fastest that I've ever seen in this industry. This new software cuts your report time in 1/2 and realtors will love it. ASHI and the NAR, has already been WOW'd with what they have seen from this software. Nathan, I am an early adaptor of this Home Inspection reporting software and I've never seen anything like it.

You can integrate with ISN, and includes both pictures and video, into your report. You can customize this thing anyway that you can imagine. You just perform your inspection and click your findings.

You know how thorough I am and I've researched this software and I wish that it would have been available years ago. I have to disagree with your opinion and offer my own. This company has done it's research and the software is here to stay.

Way, way more than three users and there is a reason that the reviews are all positive.

Then you should tell them how to fix their broken business model.

I played with the software. I'm not that impressed compared to HG or HIP. But I do believe there is room in the industry. The current crop of vendors are like a lot of home inspectors. They only innovate when they need market share.

HG: Russell still hasn't got a functional app for HG on iOS. I mean really? It's almost 2016 and it's been in development for over 2 years. Also no Mac version for HG, even though Mac is the only PC with growth in enterprise.

HIP: has also become a little stagnant. Been asking for years for a couple of HG features to be added, but it's just not their top priority. Love Dom's support, but we need a Find Unanswered feature like on HG. Especially multi inspector firms because it insures your newbs do not complete an unfinished report. Especially in states with a board and SOP.

3D: has poor support and the layout of the finished product is not as good as the aforementioned.

Horizon: in my opinion is the worst looking report of the bunch. The color coded tabs on the finished report looks odd to me. The software itself is hard to understand. It looks like you are doing a word puzzle.

I think the Horizon report looks great, but I agree with you on the tabs. They look great online, which is where most get their reports now anyhow, but there needs to be a way to print without. Perhaps there already is a way, I'm just not familiar with it.

Is it just me or is it really annoying when after you click on a link in Horizon and want to go back to the page your were just on it takes you to the front page of the report? That was a deal killer in my opinion.

I whole heatedly agree with these sentiments and found myself scratching my head coming into the industry and evaluating the report writing options. There's plenty of functionality in the established companies, but software needs to change with its users. And we, as users, are used to much more modern interfaces and design language found in iOS, MacOS, Android, and Windows. I think HHZ has struck a nerve because they are a bit different in their business model--and the complaints may be valid. I wouldn't call them deceptive, though. On the contrary, I've had very candid conversations with their CEO over the phone. She's been more than receptive to ideas for improving the software and does so in a very timely manner. At the end of the day, they are building and maintaining software which is much easier to use than what I've seen of the competition. They aren't going to nail every feature, but at least the foundation is solid and they are constantly iterating, improving the feature set. e.g. They consistently release updates every two weeks to their web app and the mobile app, which work in unison.

Toby has reached out to me personally and we have had some very interesting conversations.

I have a new respect for her having done that. More to come.

I really hope that you guys can come to an agreement and figure out a way to integrate RecallChek with them. I really like their software, and my agents and clients like it also.

With Toby showing up at PUC, i decided I would give this a shot. I am probably going to spend more time tweaking this than I should to find out if I want to use this software or not. Does any current HHZ user have a sample report I can view to get an idea of what I'd like or not?
Thanks!
