Hello! My name is David Brauner and I’m happy Nathan has invited me to connect with you. I’m Senior Insurance Broker at OREP, one of the leading providers of E&O/GL insurance for home inspectors in the country. I’ve specialized in E&O for inspectors for over 20 years.
Your E&O rates should be going down, not up, so I thought I’d take this opportunity to let you all know that OREP’s E&O program provides broad, comprehensive coverage for very competitive rates. There’s a partial list of what is covered in the program at no additional premium (most states). Premiums begin around $1,000. If you haven’t checked out our program, now is the perfect time. Along with the insurance there are many extras, like “InspectorAdvisor.com” and “First Defense,” which is in place to insulate you from frivolous complaints. Inspectors also get a free subscription to Working RE Home Inspector, one of the widest circulation print magazines for inspectors in the country. And of course, one of the most valuable benefits our insureds enjoy is provided by Nathan to help inspectors handle and avoid claims. If you are using RecallChek and the RWS home warranty with your inspections, up to $1,500 of your deductible can be covered if you ever face a claim.
The OREP E&O insurance program includes Errors and Omissions, General Liability, Radon, Termite/WDI/WDO, Lead Paint, Pool & Spa, EIFS/Stucco, Indoor Air Quality Testing, Green Building Inspections, Infrared Thermography, Rodent inspections and more. Mold and Septic/Water testing are available for a small additional premium (most states). The carrier is “A” Rated and Admitted in most states. Prior Acts, multiple inspectors, commercial, additional insured for agents/referring parties and much more are included.
You can reach me at dbrauner@orep.org. For lower insurance rates, visit www.OREP.org Or call toll-free (888 ) 347-5273. David Brauner Calif. Insurance License: #0C89873.

David, I want to go with OREP but sadly Maria hasn't replied with my financing agreement, for some reason or another. I'm a patient man but I need some figures, headed my way.

Maria just got back in touch with me. I understand how your underwriting goes but my start date shouldn't keep me from getting a quote on financing. I provided your company with everything that was asked of me.
Think about it this way: If you're going to buy a house, first you shop around until you find what you're looking for. Next you contact the appropriate people to look at the house and discuss things over with your spouse. Somewhere along the way you ask how much are you asking for it and then negotiate the terms. You will not have all of those thousands of dollars to spend, so you get financing and so on and so on; until you become the owner of the property.
I'll throw this at you, while I'm at it. I've dealt with the same car insurance agency for over the past 25 years and when I purchase a vehicle, I call them while I'm there and provide them with the VIN number, make, model, etc. The sweet ladies say hang on and let me see what I can do for you Michael (honey). A few minutes of holding and they're back on the line with a quote and every single time I agreed, said thank you and had the vehicle insured, on the spot(within minutes).
To sum things up for easy clarification:
Because that's my official launch date to be back out inspecting. All that I'm asking for is something showing me the financing terms and payment arrangements. The policy will not go into effect until you have a signed agreement back from me with payment for services. It's like quoting a fee basically. Please have something drawn up for me. I like what you have to offer and I don't want to shop around for insurance providers.
I don't see what the problem is. Is it because I'm a white male?

I'm not asking for your company to insure just any Inspector. My name is: Michael Wayne Altizer and I am "The Home Inspector".

Hi Michael- thanks! It's best to discuss specific insurance issues privately instead of publically because of privacy concerns. I therefore can’t address specifics but I'm happy to say that we have spoken to the underwriters and we can write you ASAP. As far as arranging payment/financing, please call or email Maria or myself during business hours and we’ll be happy to walk you through the way it works. Thank you!

Hi there! My name is Isaac Peck and I am the Director of Marketing at OREP.org and Editor of Working RE: Home Inspector.
No, all of OREP's policies cover the company-- there's never any need for two policies. NY is one of three states that work a little differently in certain respects. OREP covers lots of multi-inspector firms, so we know how to get you the best coverage for the best rates. Feel free to give us a call at 888-347-5273 if you're currently shopping!

Hi William, I'm sorry to hear that! I looked up your name in our CRM and I don't see that we quoted you, so hopefully you're not confusing us with someone else. Sometimes a trickier account can take a little longer to quote, but the vast majority of our quotes are back in 2-3 business days.
Most inspectors qualify for our self-rater application and can secure coverage in minutes.
Feel free to reach out to me personally next time you're shopping. Our rates should be going lower in the next few months so there's a chance we can beat your current carrier.

Always try Allen and OREP first- I find their rates to be low and both participate in our full $1500 E & O Deductible reimbursement program that applies to over 5,000 inspectors- a program that is open to all insurers (at no cost).
Then I would go to our friends at InspectorPro and EliteMGA.
Between these four, a large majority of policies are held and for a reason.

I remember I had your completed app on my desk for 2-3 weeks and finally called a lady in your office. She gave me an estimated quote on the phone. We don't meet your self rater program - too much business and too many requirements for ancillary inspections.

Our E&O goes up every year based on increased sales volume (or at least that's what I hear).

I have to admit - not going into details ..... but over the past week, I've been impressed with the staff at OREP. Excellent customer service, Awesome pricing that still has me smiling and just what I was looking for, with all the bells and whistles. I will not be looking elsewhere. I have found what I've been looking for and look forward to doing repeated business over the years with OREP.
