Lots of good information here. I just want to be sure I understand correctly. It seems some are using licensed HI's to expand, but some are also using an unlicensed helper (basically admin).

Your home inspection should bring "Peace of Mind Protection Every Time!"

Not really an admin. There's no license needed for setting up ladders and speeding your process.

My helper checks all kinds of stuff, although we don't have a license in our state. He basically does all interior items, outlets, windows, lights, doors, attics. I do the rest, cut my inspection time just about in half. Plus if he needs to "run interference" from a pain in the butt REA or home seller, its awesome.

If your schedule is so full that people are going elsewhere because you can't get them in soon enough, it is time to add an inspector. It is probably best to add someone to answer your phones and do your scheduling before you add someone else on, so that you have time to thoroughly train them. The scheduler can also help answer simple questions and also allow you to be able to focus more on your home inspections and other parts of the business. I would also recommend creating a handbook/training book to have so that the more you add to your team, it makes it a more streamline process. Then you can just adapt and adjust as processes change.
