I am pro Home Inspector Pro as I have created my own Canadian Template. I even complete all my Inspections on site. All of my Business is completely electronic and no more trees lose their life because of me unless by special request from a client to have it printed. (never happened yet) I bring my laptop and go section by section as I have it set up and at the end add the photos and voila! Mark them paid and release the report via ISN. I even have my clients book online! It has increased business substantially. Last year I was looking for ideas how to get more inspections.

There is a software which claims to be the best.

The guy is so cunning and convincing that I actually bought the software.

No where near what he claims-and refuses to give a refund and reply my e-mails

Let's invite him here to address the issue. I'll play moderator if you'd like me to- obviously your expectations haven't been met and perhaps there's a misunderstanding on his side. I'm sending an email now.

We can use this forum for good, and this is one of those times. Personally, I'm not a fan of the software currently. I haven't heard anything particularly bad about it, but I don't hear anyone talking about it and when I asked the owner if he was integrated with RecallChek, etc. (or if he would integrate), I didn't get a clear answer. If over 10% of my target audience would have a better experience because of such a simple integration, I would do it in a heartbeat. That's a bad business decision to me, and for that reason I don't have confidence in George compared to software companies like HIP, 3-D, and Horizon that are integrated with everything you use in your business every day.

We'll see if he can resolve your issues Jesal. Out of curiosity, what did you pay?

Well, i paid over $450 ( with the conversion) but i have decided to throw away the software.

You can try Nathan, but I am doubtful because I have written it off as a bad decision.

Not blaming anyone here, just cautioning others to be safe.

I've talked with the owner at length. He wanted to do a demo of his product via go to meeting, or something like that, but said it wouldn't work on a mac. I asked him if he could record a video of the mac based versions and I never heard from him about it. Since then I have found HIP and have dabbled with the trial version. I want to go ahead and get it, but I put my money towards a Zefon Bio Pump Plus instead.

I sent an email off to him. $450 isn't a small amount of money, and the inspection industry is very small. If you had spent $450 with me and were dissatisfied, I'd send you a check just for reputation's sake.

Still, there's always two sides to the story. I think it's only fair to hear his.

When I started my company in 2003 I made the decision to use HomeGauge and I have been using HG ever since. I do wish Russell would get the "integration" completed because we are spending extra time on every report with the double data entry of customer information in both HG and RecallChek.

As for BestInspectors.net, no response to my email nor any posts here. If there are two sides to the story I guess we'll never know, it seems incredibly foolish to me to ignore the second most visited message board in the home inspection industry.

We found the HIP works best for our company needs. We find it user friendly. The SUPPORT is out of this world. Make sure you look at a few until you figure out what works best for you.

I have bought (and used) two software packages prior to HG. Nothing wrong with them but they just don't have the resources to keep up with HG or HIP. the problem I had with both was in emailing the
reports - they don't have a cloud. IMO, no cloud, no point. I too wish HG would link up with RecallCheck and as much as I like my southern girl, sooner or later ease of reporting will win out and I'll head west if necessary.
Software guys need to understand one thing - it's about the inspector. No inspector, no need for software. Some of them have it backward.

I don't get it either. We've been told the integration is coming, I can't wait to tell the world that this long-running software firm that everyone says is so easy to use is also making your business more efficient! For now, HIP, 3-D, and Horizon get dozens of referrals monthly from us along with our other integrated partners.

I used AHIT InspectIt for years and years and years. I demoed 4-5 software programs last winter and ended up staying with InspectIt over the summer. I tried the new InspectIt that is tablet and cloud base hoping it would be an easy conversation and AHIT is a local company located just a few miles from my house. I did the trial period and spent a lot of time (15-20 hours) getting everything set up. Complete waste of time. As of 8 months ago, they were no where near as good as Horizon, Home Inspector Pro, or Home Gage.

I committed to a webinar on a week night that was also a waste of time. They could not get anything going and did not answer any questions from anyone. I e-mailed them questions and did not get a response.

Just switched to Home Inspector Pro and am just getting started getting everything together.

It looks like AHIT will be in Las Vegas this year with there product so maybe they have things fixed.

AHIT if you are reading this you need to work on your customer service with this program. I would love to use your product and speak highly of it but I need to know it is going to get the job done. I don't have another 20 hours to waste.

Does anyone use Tap Inspect ? Strictly iPad, solid program. Micheal Wirth, the Developer, has been nothing but supportive especially after hours and a few Sundays when I needed him. This was actually the first software that helped me deliver onsite, sync with the other Inspectors, send..
