I moved into a new house in Hamilton. It had a bad workmanship in crown molding around shingles resulting in an opening where squirrels have entered in the attic.
I figured I would take the stab at the problem. I started by taking a couple inch thick galvanized steel plating to cover up the hole that they were getting in and out of. From what I understand, it is impossible for them to chew through galvanized steel. After that, I started putting ammonia rags and mothballs around the entire attic. I also created a hot Cayenne mixture and sprinkled it around the areas that they hide in. A loud music was also put up there to try and annoy them.
I have also put up 2 traps to try and capture them. I had set up the traps properly every single time, but the squirrels somehow always manage to take the food without setting anything off.
These squirrels have kept me up for nights in a row and now I am fed up of them.
I think I have tried all that I had known to remove the squirrels, nothing is working. It's high time now to call an animal removal service and get rid of them. I know it's gonna cost hit my pockets but that's the only option left.
What should I do? Any recommendations are appreciated.

I like the cayenne pepper use to deter them from entry. Was the galvanized steel chewed through after you installed? My gut is telling me they have a means of entry/exit that might not have been discovered yet. If you have a wifi camera (e.g. Nest, Ring) you might be able to observe them in action.
