Hello- today I completed my first 4-point home inspection today. I am curious as to how much info to include on this report. The software I’m using for the 4-point seems less comprehensive than it is on the full inspection software from the same company.

Any help is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Not sure where you're located, but here in Florida, we list all the defects for the 4 areas. (However I won't list a missing outlet cover, for example).
If it's on the inspection report, it's going on the 4 Point report.

Do you have any specific defects you're wondering about?

I am also in Florida. I guess what I mean is how detailed do my assessments need to be for each part of the inspection. For example, when filling out the electrical portion in the software for the full inspection, there are many more boxes there. In the 4 point section for electrical, there are far fewer boxes to check out. So naturally by following the boxes in the 4 point portion, this inspection will look less thorough as compared to a full inspection.
Sorry that’s kind of wordy. Any input?

Don't let your software dictate how (or what) you inspect, or what you report.
You will have to modify almost every program to meet your specific needs. I frequently find defects that have no pre-defined "label", you can't just ignore them. Take a look at the 4 point forms put out by Citizens & State Farm, you'll see a wide range of reportable conditions.

Dom, I appreciate your responses- I will search out those forms.
Thank you
