I use HIP and love it! The only thing that drives me nuts is the emails I get everytime someone opens up the report. Dom lets get that fixed, I dont need to know everytime someone looks at it.

Don't know the numbers, but I think Whisper is real popular in Texas. Can't speak to other softwares, in this regard, but one great Whisper feature, is setting up the template in the same sequence as you inspect (in which say Electrical tasks will be repeated then in another window it re-orders the sequence into the order the State requires.

I have now reviewed 4 different programs and the more I look at the more I don't seem to like any of them. It would be nice to put the functionality of all of them in one package and be able to pick what you like instead of spending a lot of money on programs that I will never use.

All the major players are good as Nathan stated. HIP, 3D, Horizon, et al
The problem they ALL have in common, is the untrained computer nerd wanna be inspectors make them difficult
The buyers and agents do not want 50 page reports with 200 photos.
Give your customers what they want and need, not what you want to give them.
Simple, easy to read, clear summary, easy for email (PDF)

What is the best software for multiple inspectors on one job? I get that question all the time.

I use Tap Inspect. We usually have 2 on the job and we know what part of the inspection to perform. I have a Mobi card in my camera, all pics go right into the iPads.
When finished, turn on the hotspot, we sync, punch out the report and done, sent onsite..

I love this feature, but the one I use is in ISN.

It protects me from if someone ever says they never got a report.

Who is Tap Inspect? I've never heard of them and I don't think we're integrated with their platform. I'd like to learn more.

Tell him you want integration with us. It's so easy to do, if their support is good they'll do it quickly.

They spoke with you guys earlier this year, integration didn't work out, not high enough on their priority list. If more tap inspect users were interested, they might change their mind, I spoke with the owner, back in January the 3 of us had a chain email going, just never materialized.

Check out homeinspectorplus.com

In my opinion very user friendly and free demo for 30 days no charge to see how you like it.

Great online teaching demos to view on their website as well.

So, we've been with InspectVue forever!! 5000+ narratives in our library... We've basically narrowed it down to HIP and HG. HG seems to have a similar layout to InspectVue (4 layers of categorization - i.e. Section - Category - Component - Narrative) while HIP only has 3 layers.

InspectVue also uses narrative types (i.e. we use the following as narrative types: Major Defect, Minor Defects, Maintenance Issues, Safety Issues, Concerns and Description). HG can do this sort of narrative categorization - HIP from what I understand can't do this, but only allows you to change the color of the narrative. then a 'key' would be needed to understand what each color means.

Just curious as to how your transition was going into HIP from InspectVue - very small group of people that I've come across that use/used InspectVue.
