What Is Your Highest Average Radon Concentration

I thought it would be entertaining, and possibly educational, to start a topic to post the highest average Radon Concentration you have found on a Residential Real Estate transaction test. I just had mine recently at 17.8 pCi/l

My highest was 18.1 oCi/L; most are 1.9-4.8 -ish

19.6pCi/l is the highest I've seen.

I'd say about half the homes tested in my area are above 4.0

Great thread idea! When we get some more responses I'll dig up the highest I have on file and post it. It'll surprise you! People walk out of this house glowing!

100, my house

106 on a house that was 9 years old. I thought my equipment was broken and checked against another monitor, but it was correct

I can't believe the numbers are that high. That is crazy!

12.4 pCi/L is my highest. My area doesn't have super high averages.

Highest in Utah that is recorded was 45 pCi/L in Beaver, Utah; 100 is insane

The highest I have personally had was 265 pCi/l. It took installing 2 fans but I got it down to 0.5pCi/l..The highest I ever heard of in my area was 320.

That is unbelievable. And to think that people complained to a builder of a tract that had an average of 9 pCi/L and wanted the builder to install radon mitigation systems in every house.

I would still want a system installed if the Average was 9..As a matter of fact at the epa conference in Washington last year it was brought up that they are trying to lower the action level to 2 pCi/L but the biggest obstacle was the mitigators..

I don't see why the mitigators would be against making more money by having to install more.
