Question for Home Gauge users with ISN. Are you still sending the reports with Home Gauge or are you uploading a PDF to ISN. What is your process?

So you send it to the Realtor and client twice?

Why send it to ISN in a pdf form? You are losing the best part of the HG report. We send it out through HG and if they want to make it a pdf they can. We set up our appointments with ISN and send it to HG for download.

We send it both ways to make sure they have it one way or the other. HG can give you the wow factor if you choose to use the video option or if you feel the need to have the clickable table of contents. We took out the table of contents as it is not really needed.

If you send via HomeGauge, what's the link look like? Can anyone post one? I'm curious about something and I really want to have this discussion.

PM me an email address and I will send you a link. Do you already have a user name with HG?

Nathan, what is your thoughts? It's not that big of a deal, but it kinda feels like you are doing everything twice. I am looking forward to the day a company steps up with a true one step solution. Imagine Home Gauge with ISN services or ISN coming up with a good software. The first company to do this and be compatible on all software platforms will take over the market.

I use HG and ISN. I dropped HG upload/send the minute I started using ISN. I hated the fact that an end user had to sign up for yet another account just to get the report. I never was comfortable with it. People have enough accounts they forget usernames and passwords to and don't need another one. I don't have a need for the video or other features of the web report for HG. A link to a PDF (or PDF directly) seems to be all anyone wants anyway in my opinion.

My process is this:
1) Write report in HG.
2) Print Preview.
3) Save as PDF.
4) Upload to ISN.

I agree with you that it would be nice to have integration between the two so seamless that you could upload a PDF directly to ISN from HG, but I don't think that would help the direction it looks like HG wants to go. I can think of 3 areas that support charging $30/mo for cloud services. Uploading reports, easy transfer between devices through their cloud, and HG backups. If you took away the upload that would only leave the transfer part and HG backups. I have HG installed in my Dropbox folder and do a backup to my NAS so I don't really need the backup. This leaves me, personally, paying $30/mo. just to transfer to and from HG Companion (Android device) and Desktop/Laptop. I've considered doing direct transfers from my Android device to my laptop especially when cell coverage is poor. In fact that's what I have to do in the field when cell coverage is so bad I get bad transfers.

ISN's integration with most platforms already does that. Homegauge isn't getting the same accolades for their integration for some reason, I don't know why.

Can someone explain to me why the ISN/Homegauge integration isn't seen as well, at least from some, as the HIP/ISN integration for example.

Why would I need a username for HG? Is that something your clients have to do?!?

I, personally, like the integration especially now that you can download appointments into HG from ISN. The only other enhancement I would like to see is the ability to upload a report directly to ISN instead of HG. I'm not sure if HIP or 3D do this, but I'm guessing they do. HG seems to really push the web version of the report, but I just want simple...for me, my clients, and my customers. Simple to me is a link to a PDF report.

You are required to create one for them before uploading and you can't get the report without logging in. Both the agent and customer require one. I can't remember what happens if the agent uses another inspector that also uses HG.

Here is the link everyone used to get when I used HG for sending out reports. The email they got included their username and password.

Yes you need a user name. I assign that when our Client fills out our information form.
