Mould, lichen, and other unsightly growths are not necessarily detrimental to the longevity of your tile roof. However, they can interfere with the free drainage of precipitation off the roof slope. Get ready all the cleaning tools. Pressure cleaning might be necessary
I agree with the other reply in this post, the effect has to do with the angle in which the photo is taken
The moment you find leakage in the attic or blistering paint or shingles, damages shingles, even high energy bills, note that its time to go for roof repair.
